Despite its exceptional growth during the last decade, Pearland has managed to maintain large area's of green space and numerous parks for the enjoyment of it's residents and visitors.

The centerpiece of Pearland's park system is Independence Park located at the end of Liberty Drive. In addition to lighted tennis courts, community swimming pool, hike and bike trails and more. This site plays host to annual city celebrations like July 4th's "Freedom Fest", January's Winterfest, and October's Trick-or-Treat Trail.

Located off McHard Road in the heart of Pearland is Centennial Park, which features lighted basketball and tennis courts, softball fields, a jogging trail, two picnic pavilions, a fishing pond & more.

Southdown Park located at 2150 Country Place Parkway on Pearland's westside is the newest of the city parks featuring a water splash pad, off leash dog park, covered picnic pavilion, jogging/walking path, athletic fields, public restrooms and more
